I am not sure of what you know about me; I’ll have you know that I love boys, I love men, I love the male gender a lot. Please, don’t get me wrong I love me too, so I love women as well.. but you can call me man wrapper. Something happened to me years ago, I was much younger and was at a tuition center trying to prepare for an exam; when this chubby lady introduced herself to me on that shocking day. She literally tried to woo me.. she went on about how men can be unreliable and unfaithful and so many things.. Little did she know that she got the wrong person. Immediately she finished, I made bold to tell her that I love men regardless.. I want to feel the safety of a flat and hard chest all the time I’m getting my partner’s hug and not the opposite. As at last Christmas, our car was already giving us some issues; nothing too serious to handle but it was becoming too much for me so, I started praying for another car. My husband loves a particular brand and as for me, I just want a car that can move me to every point without problems especially when I have full company. January came and we were still moving around with our old car but I had prayed and written it down somewhere. I wrote for my husband, his best brand and a jeep looking car for me. I love tall cars like G-wagon and ‘them’ big cars... Somehow we got a call about the third week of January and like a dream, it is a car gift; the exact brand and color. I was especially so happy and almost could not believe it. It came exactly the way I asked for it. In case you are pondering on the reason for my testimony. At ease? The other day, I read about an old lady who decided to leave her husband after 21years of being married to him. Everyone thought she was out of her mind for doing that; after all, she should have gotten used to all his shenanigans. She left and heaven didn’t fall. He just got a new habit of always targeting her eyeballs whenever he beat her. It is new, he normally would just rush at her and beat her all over. Alas! she chose her eyeballs after all these years, it was the last straw. Not too long ago, the tabloids had an unusual story of a man who had to run to his neighbor’s apartment for safety from an abusive wife. His friends had always noticed marks on his hands and face every now and then; but he always had a preplanned cover story. This time, he finally felt the need to escape from her rage because she came for his privates. Eventually, his privates made him go public. Alas!   There will be so many newborns by the end of the year and others by the first quarter of the next year; thanks to the lockdown. In the end, so much light will shine. So much to talk about and more. It is no longer news that husbands are spending more time at home with family but my question is, is the difference different or is it same difference. The other woman was saying that her husband is as good as out , because he locks himself away from the rest of them in the house: No help from him with the children, no help with the chores around the house. Infact, he is unable to gist or take a simple joke.. Baba is too serious .. in other words, it is same difference if not worse. This Arena. So this arena can be quietly loud, wow!   Such insolence towards the landlord gradually ceasing; it’s a very big but small village right now, alas! No escape route anymore. How is it that the loud voices are becoming so faint and strength is failing the mighty. Just this prodding by The owner of this arena and everywhere is shaken up, everyone is scampering for safety; everyone is now telling everyone to be safe and stay safe. Is safety not of The owner ? This arena is our good old home full of activity, debate, conflict, entertainment, sports et al. What we have now is about to set us straight. Social distancing has become the order of today. Silence can be deafening and if you are not careful it can damage your eardrum. Other times it is so serene that you begin to lose touch of your reality; some people will say, you don’t know ‘warisgoinon’ and it’s because it allows you to escape. Silence can be so ruffling it can land you into depression before you know it; other times it is calm enough; it is death. Some will say silence is peace and quiet, literarily so . After that, it is so much more. Shall I continue to talk about silence? It is powerful it can comfort a grieving soul and can mean a grieving soul, given up and weary of speaking. Sometimes it just conceals emptiness and all forms of weakness. You need to listen through the silence on the inside of you; your y earnings for more, for life, for expression. You must come alive to what is around you, feel the warmth of the sun and enjoy the brightness of the moon through the dark nights, you need to know that silence is for the strong, so find ...
