Something took me out to one of the parks around on a playful Saturday and as I sat down on one of the iron chairs out there, trying to mind my business while still in touch with the peaceful environment; I found myself listening to a group of women talking about their husbands.

Was I eavesdropping? No, actually I was not; they were carried away and were not aware of how loud they had become.

They were five altogether, all beautiful looking and chubby women. You could tell at a glance that they are a bunch of rich women with their glowing skin and the expensive accessories they had on. From their chats, I discovered that they all planned to be there to get together. In my opinion they had missed each other.

Now the gist is that they were consoling the one that can be called slim amongst them and also advising her to focus on herself and her two children. She was told to forget about her husband and his cheating, insensitive nature. He is not worth the trouble two of them echoed like it was rehearsed. Now that’s the point my own eavesdropping started. I had become very interested in their discussion.

The said husband doesn’t like his wife’s new weight and he complains about her appearance, choice of clothes, the way she walks and virtually everything. Then I heard her say, “He said I eat too much, and I hardly even eat anything”

The truth is that I felt so sorry for her and I was almost tempted to look back so that I can see her face properly and probably tell her to take it easy; but just as I was settling down to be fully in their gist, one of the boys came calling.

Pchew……………….. Eavesdropping aborted.
