Sexy and Virtuous

I was thinking about so many things that helps marriage work and, I came to a conclusion that a bit of everything makes the whole. I have been married only a few years, and for now, I know that God is an ever present help in time of need. He has a lot of strategy for solutions.

If you hit the gym every time to keep a perfect body, or you are just naturally blessed with a great figure; you go hard at making your financial status great, and would stop at nothing to get needed tools to ensure your business succeeds, and you are doing a lot to maintain it; you should also hit the ground on your knees,and say your prayers all the time because that is the only way to communicate your fears and insecurities to God, with the hope of a lasting solution.

So many things are going wrong around us that is endangering the specie called Marriage. The news has bad stories of failed marriages and in our faces are gruesome images all over the place; of men and women getting battered and killed every now and then. It is disturbing to know, that it is only increasing each passing day.

As humans, we should be interested in protecting the family because that is the best support system that there is; little wonder there is also an increasing rate of depression and suicide everywhere we turn to all over the world. After all, marriage create family and families are the most basic social unit upon which any society is built.

There is so much more to being sexy than a well put together appearance; in fact the inner beauty rules the outward appearance, just like the invisible things visibly controls the visible ones. How do one explain what air looks like; it constitutes the oxygen that our lives depend on.

We don’t all know how is it that the hair on our heads just keeps growing from whatever the source might be: at least I know that there is no mass of hair in our skull where it comes out from neither is it under our skin but it grows out anyway. Scientists only know what nutrients enhance quick hair growth.

Going on about how abstract things rule the things that we see might begin to bore you. My point is, marriage is beyond the beauty, money and glamour that we can put our fingers on. It is hard work, it requires a lot of patience, consistency, tough love, honest conversations, and so much more than this post can take for now.

My submission is that beyond being sexy is virtue. We have to do better by ourselves to be better.

As humans, we must strive to radiate an inner beauty called virtue. It can only be gotten from being in a progressive relationship with God. He rules and reigns in the affairs of men, he instituted marriage and he knows just what is right to make every marriage in its uniqueness successful.


Marriage is beautiful.
